Denim Jacket
I have one that I've had for 15 years, but I feel like its very boxy. I'm looking to get a nice, classic medium or dark wash one that isn't cropped. Old Navy fit me very snug in the arms, which is weird b/c I don't think my arms are THAT huge. Any recommendations??? Have one that you love???

I see one on the site, but it seems light in color. Is this the one you got? Maybe it's darker in person?

Hmmm, I just looked on the site, and while it seems like the exact same style jacket and I think same price, mine is not light at all. It's definitely a deep medium blue. I just went back and read reviews and someone mentioned that they bought it in dark wash which is what I have. I guess they are out of that color

Re: Denim Jacket
So funny you posted this. Yesterday I completed my five-day search for a denim jacket.
My go-to place in the past has been White House / Black Market. They usually show a denim jacket around this time of year and it is always beautiful, well made and will last a lifetime, always looking new. Well, this year it is nowhere to be found in their summer line! I wonder if when Autumn comes they'll put it out?
Anyway, I went to Bloomingdale's next as the ones that I tried on at the Gap were box-like in the waist, below my boobs, where I go in - the jacket went out, yet it was tight in the arms. Odd.
So, I went to Bloomy's and tried on two denim jackets - a white and a regular medium-washed blue denim. Paige was the brand. Again, a little box-like --- not as bad as GAP but a little too wide in the mid section and tight on the arms. I saw another jacket, on a mannequin, that was BEAUTIFUL -- cut just right, fit like a fuuucking glove, it was gorgeous. I look and it's Burberry Of course. It was $500. For that price, it should be able to go down on me!
Onward! I went over to Free People but their jackets looked like they had been run over by a LIRR Commuter Train - twice.
So, I made the trek over to Macy's and happened to pass by Abercrombie on my way. And there she was, sitting in the display window, on a mannequin, and I thought - looks like a nice cut! It was originally $68 marked down to $49 and it was a perfect color - not too light, not too dark. The sleeves and arms fit PERFECT - all the way up. The jacket itself was cut just right. It is not crop but isn't too long. Hits all the perfect spots. And I love how the sleeves are when they are all the way down AND when I roll them -- this particular jacket's sleeves roll perfectly. THRILLED. I bought one.
This was yesterday. My odyssey is complete.

Denim Jacket
I actually got a really nice one on HSN.com. It is made by Diane Gilman. Dark Denim with a bit of stretch. So comfortable.

Re: Denim Jacket
I've been trying to avoid the boxy jacket! My go to stores are Loft (they only have a very light one at the moment) and Marshalls (haven't seen any) - I ordered one online from Old Navy a few weeks ago in a size M (I wear a 6 or an 8 depending on the store) and while it fit my body, the arms were SO tight. I couldn't imagine wearing a long sleeve top underneath it in the fall. So I returned it. I ended up going back yesterday and getting the same jacket in a large - its a little too big in the body, but at least the arms fit comfortably. It was 30% off, so for $21, it'll do.
Mind you, I never actually WEAR a denim jacket, I just got in my head that I needed to own one, and I couldn't move on with my life until I had one
