dermatologist uses your email to send you an evite to med spa party????
yeah, that just happened. I can see all invitees, all 600+ probably her patients like me! it's like a giant botox raffle or some shit. what the entire fk.
I'm thinking it's a huge HIPAA violation, and have a couple of phone calls to make tomorrow to find out.

I think the point is not the email itself. Many doctors do that but that it was sent to all patients and she could see everyone's emails. A definite violation.

That is really annoying, but I doubt it was done on purpose. Im sure some admin assist is probably losing her job right now. I would bet anything what happened is that instead of putting all the email addresses in the bcc field, she put it in the to field...I did that once at work, it sucks.Luckily in my case it wasn't an email of a personal nature.
