Dermatology Question
For those of you that go to the dermatologist for acne, are any of you on antibiotics? If so, which ones, and do you recommend them? I have been on minocycline (sp?) and am not thrilled with it and am going back to the doctor tomorrow - I figured it wouldn't hurt to ask you ladies first!! TIA

Re: Dermatology Question
I've been on Eurythromicin and Doxycicline (forgive me for the spelling errors).
I had cystic acne - and they didn't work that well for me and I ended up taking Accutane.

Re: Dermatology Question
I don't think any work very well. Years back, I was on the one you mentioned. What works for me is: Murad skincare, GNC hair, skin, nail vitamins, and cutting out dairy!

Re: Dermatology Question
I did not have cystic acne but managed to get a script for Accutane. I only took it for a few months and never ever got a zit again, My bro took it too. Winter is also the best tiime to take it.

Re: Dermatology Question
I was on minocycline and it made me feel so out of it--dizzy and disoriented. I am so scared of accutane though, and I hear it's the only thing that works really well. For topicals I recommend Duac and Klaron.

Re: Dermatology Question
benzaclyn. that stuff is miraculous. but it also bleaches fabrics (yet i put it on my face ) - so make sure you wash your hands after touching it and that its dry on your face before going to sleep.
