Design Stars - spoilers

I am happy with the final 3.

One was a obvious choice.

I guess Mikey V was not strong enough in design/hosting.

Thoughts?

Tracee was a mess - completely disorganized and did not take responsibility for her decisions. I cannot believe she brought Trish's ring cutting situation into the picture -- that had nothing to do with anything. It would have been a good opportunity to nail down the design and organize a time chart.

Mikey V did not do well hosting at all.


For me, the irony of this show is that Vern is a terrible host. Have you seen his deserving design show? His rooms are beautiful but he's painful to watch.

I was SO GLAD Tracee was booted. How could she shop 7 hours and expect the backsplash to get done? She never owned up to anything!!!!

I'm content with the final 3. I liked Mikey V but he was not too hot with the hosting part. Tracee made me want to scratch my eyes out - I am soooooooooo happy to see her go. She was so annoying.

I agree about Vern not being a great host - ironic, huh?

i really thought mikey v would make it to the final 2 (him and matt), but i agree with their decision last night.


I have to say though- this season- i like most of the contestants more than previous seasons (sans Tracee), but i haven't been blown away AT ALL by any of the designs. Some have been nice, but not at the level that they should be to be on the show. Even w/ the kitchen yesterday- it was nice, if they had the tiling done, it would have been nicer, but i still wouldnt have been blown away. It was just nice. That's how they've all been.

Yeah, I agree. I'm glad that it was made clear that Mikey went home because of his poor hosting skills, not b/c he didn't put the tiles up. He would have done it if Tracee brought him back tiles anywhere close to when she said she wold.
I think he's be good *on* a show, just not as the host of the show.

The other 3 are all good, I think Jennifer might win, she seems the msot comfortable on camera.

It does seem the challenges don't really give us a chance to see their actual design skils, except for the individual room challenge. It's more about teamwork & time management.

And I agree with Vern that the kitchen was DULL!

There was one room in the first challenge I really liked - where they painted it a smoky blue color. I liked that but you're right there's been nothing spectacular.

I feel I have not seen enough of their individual talents this season. Maybe in the finale.

I think Trish is going to win. She is calm, good designs and great host.

I've liked alot of the rooms (i've really liked alot of the paint color choices, too), but it just seems like something even *I* could do (and that's not saying much)
