desk for home office
where did everyone buy a desk for a home office. we want a L shaped one, but not too bulky

Try this site - they have a ton of L-shaped desks. Deskco in Mineola carries a bunch of them.

and do you know what type of wood it is?

i've never been to deskco, we'll have to check it out. have you ever bought something from there? are they reasonable?

Honestly - I don't really remember the exact price. I think that the desk, hutch, and filing cabinet were around $800. It was def. no more than 1000.
ETA: The type of wood - not necessarily a cherry but in between that and mahogony I guess. It's very sturdy too!

Try Ikea. We have an L-Shaped desk from there and had it for years and love it. There are many styles and colors and their not bulky at all.

Our desk is from IKEA too. We have a corner style set-up but I remember seeing some L shape desks there too.
