Re: Desserts for Thanksgiving-??
I'm going to make my Grandpa's cheesecake recipe (Italian ricotta cheesecake) Oatmeal cookies - b/c my cousin's husband looks for them and is insulted if they're not there for him ..... and someone posted a yummy looking recipe for some kind of pecan bar that I'm going to try ........
Dinner is @ my Mom's and I'm not much of a cook - but I CAN bake. -

Re: Desserts for Thanksgiving-??
I'm making a chocolate pudding pie
Its a chocolate oreo crust, cream cheese, sugar and choc. chips blended together for the first layer, then chocolate pudding layer over that, and then once it sets (a few hours in the fridge) you put a layer of Hersheys Hot Fudge topping.
Serve with whipped cream or Cool Whip.

Re: Desserts for Thanksgiving-??
I usually make dessert for my Aunt's house. She has 30-40 people every other year. I try to make a few easy things and a couple of fun different things.
Two Easy Ones Coconut Custard Pie - I make a variation of the recipe on the back of the cocunut flake bag. I do not blend it, use a little less flour, one less egg 1/2 cup less milk, more coconut and add almond extract.
I like this pumpkin pie recipe - I use half the ginger it calls for. Pumpkin Pie
One fun one I use amaretto instead of frangelico and almonds. I add a little almond extract and use about a half cup more chocolate then the recipe calls for. Chocolate Truffles
