We loved Barbados --- but it is pricey. If she wants guests to go too, I think Bahamas, DR and Jamaica are more reasonable price-wise.

Re: Destination wedding- HELP?
When I was on my honeymoon is Aruba I saw a few weddings at our hotel. They were gorgeous. I think Aruba is the perfect place to get married!

My sister got married in Aruba and it was beautiful. There's air conditioning and the food was awesome!

I would suggest looking into DR, Jamaica and the Rviera Maya. You will probably find the best rates, and therefore have more people attend.

Re: Destination wedding- HELP?
I'd have to say the Dominican Republic (Romana or Punta Cana), and Aruba.

I would definitely look into the Riviera Maya -
( lots of flights there, affordable)
I have been to 2 destination weddings. One in the Bahamas which was beautiful and when in Las Vegas whhich was great too.

I went to my friends wedding in St. Thomas and it was beautiful and not too pricey for them or the guests in Memorial Day weekend.
My other friend got married in Puerto Rico. The two weddings overlapped...so I went to the other one, but this one was also moderately priced for all.

Re: Destination wedding- HELP?
My SIL got married in Bermuda in June 2000. It was wonderful! We stayed at two inns near Salt Kettle. The wedding was outside one of the inns with a tent and dancefloor set up right on the water. The ceremony was on a gorgeous cliff overlooking the beach!
