DH and I put together the travel system last night
I feel better getting that done. I don't feel as much as a baby idiot now that we managed to put this thing together!
What has everyone gotten done so far and how many weeks are you? I'm 35 weeks, and we will have her room done by the weekend and I can start putting her things away. I also plan on installing the car seat base next week. I feel like I procrastinated a lot though!

The Graco Quattro Tour Deluxe in Deco from my sister:
It actually wasn't that bad, most of the parts just snapped in and locked, so even a dummy like me could do it!
But I'm debating getting a Snap and Go now, my friend is trying to convince me that I'm going to want something less bulky but I already have the system. I would hate to have all these different strollers.

Cool! Cute set!
Having no kids, DH and I were both always the one to put all the toys together at Christmas so I'm actually looking forward to this part! We make a good team with parts and pieces!
As far as the Snap n Go... if you have the money or store credit, I'd go for it. I did not register for a travel system but was considering putting the infant seat in my stroller but I just figured that I'd save the wear and tear on the stroller by using the Snap n Go for the first 6 months or so. Anyone who's used a Snap n Go swears by it.

Thanks Denise! I'm going to see if any of my SILs maybe have a Snap n' Go that they don't use anymore and if not, I can always use one of our store gift cards if we decide to get it. I'm sure it's great for those quick trips out, too.

You could also keep checking on craigslist!
I was registered for a travel system, but just deleted it a couple of days ago. Now, i'm just getting the infant seat, snap n go and a jogger (that is also compatable w/ the infant seat we're getting). But, like another poster said- i've never heard of anyone who had the snap n go and didnt love it!

Re: DH and I put together the travel system last night
so far we only have the changing table together and oh, the Fisher Price Papasan Swing....
we had the glider dropped off to us (from dave's parents) on Tuesday, but there's no way i'm attemping that (there are MANY pieces).... Dave's dad said he'll come by after the shower and put it together.
i think we'll be FINISHED with emptying of the nursery on Friday night...so we'll see what else we can get done!
eta: congrats on the travel system accomplishment. i think i'll be doing that one ALONE, as dave can barely hang a picture without having a fit!
