DH and I refuse to be happy, is that weird?

We got a BFP last week, as some may know, but we don't talk about it and refuse to accept that it's real until we go to the doctor next week.

After a m/c, we really don't want to get our hopes up, anyone go through this?

It stinks too, because there are so many things coming up where my behaviour will be fishy.......

I hate waiting....Chat Icon

Doesn't sound weird to me! I'm sure I'll be the same way if/when we get pregnant again. I know it's easier said then done, but try to stay positive Chat Icon Sending you sticky vibes as well!

No, this makes sense to me. It's hard to get excited about something this early, especially if you have had problems before.

We got a BFP yesterday (retested today, same result), but I haven't been to the doctor yet. Also, there is a history of miscarriage in my family (this is my first pregnancy). So I do know that things don't always go smoothly, and DH and I are being cautious at this point.

All I can say is try to take it a day at a time, and enjoy your pregnancy each day. I hope you have a healthy pregnancy and baby in 9 months time!

Sounds normal to me. I would be very cautious too and not want to get my hopes up. Good luck to you. Sending you sticky vibes!

I was like this until I saw the little bean for the first time. I was still reserved until my second sono at 12 weeks. Then I actually felt relaxed and happy.

Totally understandable situation...just try not to think about the worst. Look at the bright side...theres a little baby growing inside of you...

I think it is completely understandable to be cautious. Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

It is impossible to know what to feel in any circumstance when you are in the earliest stages of PG. Try to relax (I know the worst words ever in the land of PG) and have a positive mantra. I know it sounds silly but when we were in the earliest stages I would go over the "good baby, healthy baby, loving baby" mantra in my head every morning & every night. I found it to be relaxing & it cannot hurt to put some positive thoughts into the universeChat Icon

not weird at all.

we just found out we were PG on Friday, and while we are really excited we are very cautios not to talk about it (this is my first EVER pg). The reality is that there are SO many things that can go wrong this time, very volnurable time, and that is why we just don't talk about it much.

we call it 'seed' and talk about it sometime.. how wonderful it is, but we are very cautious. I think we will be until our first appt
