Dh caught me off guard yesterday

Sorry to be another incognito, but as many have said, you never know who's lurking...
anyway..

A few days ago DH told me he wasn't ready yet for a baby. I have been talking about it for some time, but when he said that I told him, ok I won't talk about it any more, we both have to be on the same page about it.

Then yesterday, we are watching house hunters and the woman on the show was pregnant. All of a sudden out of nowhere, DH asks me if I want to start trying for a baby.. I was so shocked I didn't even know what to say especially since a few days ago he told me he wasn't ready.. I don't know what to make of all this, what do you all think?

Perhaps he was trying to feel you out?

I think it is critical for two people to be on the same page in regard to having children. Sure sometimes surprises happen and you deal with it. But if you are in the talking stages of family planning, it is important to put out your feelings and discuss it. When iti s right for the both of you, you will know. I waited until DH was ready and I feel better about our choices.
