DH got 2 free car seats from a co-worker that has twins
And I am REALLY NOT loving them. Would it be selfish to get what I want? They look sooooo boyish too me and just very commercial...kinda like what a car rental might give you. What should I do?

Yup, check out ebay... they sell pretty cool car seat covers.
Just an FYI though, for the price of what some of these car seat covers cost, I would either stick with what you have or get a new one if you dislike the one that you have.
IMO a car seat is a car seat and so long as it is in good condition, hasn't been in any car wreck and is pretty new where it meets all standard rules and regulations, then I'd just keep them. If they are in not-so-good condition, then I would just get new ones. A car seat is the one thing I wouldn't skimp on.

The cover wouldn't bother me.
As a twin mommy, we had to spend over $500 for two car seats for one of our vehicles.
Next year, DH will do drop-off and I'll do pick up for daycare. I would love it if I could get two more seats for free or a significant discount. If not it's another $500 for seats for the other car
If it bothers you so much I'd look into getting a new cover but I'd keep the seats.

I would probably get a new one, only because it's not good to use a hand me down seat unless you know the person has never been in an accident, not even a minor fender bender.
