DH is leaving on a business trip tonight
and he willl be in Poland and Germany for six days. Three days he will be visiting his parents and brother in Poland and three days he will be in Germany for a business conference.
My parents are three miles away and mom has offered to stay over since I am a scaredy cat and I will stay a few nights with them but I am so scared and sad.
I need hugs.

aww! you'll be fine!! especially with your parents so close by!
i actually like when DH goes away for a few days... i don't have to compete for the TV remote so i can watch whatever i want, i don't have to worry about cooking a "real" dinner, AND i can spread out as much as i want to in the bed! 
my parents are 2 hours away, and ILs are 4 hours away... so its really just me and the puppy to keep my company
its gets kinda scary, but i like having the peace and quiet for a few days.
just try to make the best of it, and he'll be home before ya know it!

So my mom is here with me (I think my dad is happy to have the bed to himself after 40 years of marriage ). I cried a lot today. I am guessing I might cry some more this week. I just feel so sad that he is going to be in another continent. I know he has worked late before, but I always saw him and felt his presence next to me in the bed.
I might need some extra hugs these next 6 days

I can totally sympathize--my DH was just back in NY for business for 6 days. It's good that your mom will be staying with you. Unfortunately, my DH and my sister were both away at the same time, and they're the only family I have here! 
I hope the time goes fast for you. Use the time to do some things you've been wanting to do. I used the time to catch up with some girlfriends, do some spring clothes-shopping, and sleep in.

I am the one leaving in a few hours- and I doubt my DH wants his mother to come over
I have learned to enjoy my time alone- it's few and far between-
try to have fun

My DH just left for 5 days...again. I don't have any family in general besides my crazy Grandma in Ohio, so I am used to being alone. I have already made a list of stuff to do that my DH would get mad about. As soon as the sun comes up and the stores open, the fun begins!

My DH is working in Germany until early May, but he comes in next week for a few days (yay!)
Anyway, I know how you feel- it is difficult in the beginning but you will be fine- do a spa day, hang out with the girls or your family...try to enjoy it
