DH is trying to make me get rid of my car :( :(
so i have a 2005 Mustang GT that i ADORE! she's my baby. every time i think im ready to part from her, i realize im not. i finally paid it off last year and its been so nice not having a car payment.
i dont want to get a new car and have to take on new car payments right now, especially with the new baby costs and day care 
i looked up on a car seat website that the car seat we registered for is ok to go into my car. i purposely chose the one that was recommended for both my car and DH's truck. I need to shake this new car thought out of DH's head!
ok i'm done...guess im just venting..

This is a 2 door car? Have you ever tried to take a carseat out of a 2 door? I'm not saying its impossible, but it will get annoying real fast.
I know how much it would stink to get a new car payment, but I would seriously consider your everyday routine of needing to get that seat out of the car.

yes its a 2 door car but DH has a truck. and whenever we go out together we always take his truck so a majority of the time we will be in his vehicle, plus he has two boys already and we cant all fit in my car anyway.

Nothing bothers me at all really but putting a baby in a 2 door car FREAKS me out! I just feel like god forbid something happened, can they get her out?? but thats just my thinking
Plus having to lug a infant seat in and out will get tiring.
My MIL has a 2 door and when she drives DD around (which is NOT often for that reason) she even says how tiring it is and is looking for a new car.

Keep it... We have a 2004 Mustang GT and DS has ridden on it a lot. His infant seat fit in the back just fine. His toddler seat too. There is nothing wrong with a 2 door car....Hoping to have it long enough to give to DS when he is older...

Another for keeping! DH has a 2 door Saab Viggen and we never had problems with the infant carrier. The worst was that we had to move the front seat forward to grab the seat, but it wasn't that much more difficult than my car. DH used to take both kids to daycare every morning in that car with no problems.

keep the stang, take it off the road and put in storage. lease a car with 0 down. its possible. i am leasing a car I put nothing down for (except for taxes and fees which is typical) and im paying less than 250 a month for my sentra, which is pretty spacey.

i agree with DH. I work in insurance and unfortunately, i don't have too many good mustang stories to share. 
 I agree, lease a car with $0 down.

My brother and his wife both own 2 door cars. They have two children. 4 and 2. They have no problems.
It's not impossible. Definitely not easy though.

If you really want to keep it, you should keep it.
Since DS was born, we have one four door and one 2 door car. I always have a carseat for the 2 door, but if DS is going somewhere, we just use the 4 door car.
Only now that I am pg with #2 are we getting rid of the 2 door car.
I agree with you, I am not looking forward to picking up an additional car payment.

We have a truck and a 2 door car.....to my surprise, we have no problem getting the car seat out of the back seat..that being said though, about 99% of the time we're driving with DS, it's in the truck.
What if you tried it out for a few months before deciding on a new car?

I think that’s what i'm gonna do. I mean if I don’t mind the 2 door then I would be mad if I didn’t try it and just got a new car with a new payment for no reason. Like you said, when we go out as a family we will take my DH’s truck so it would really be just me picking us LO from day care mostly
