1. I almost never cook.
2. I'm just getting the hang of slow cooker cooking.
3. I'm vegetarian so I don't care how it tastes BUT i'd like to know if i'm doing something wrong. He cooks. He says the darker meat (thigh, leg) come out much better in a slow cooker.

When I take it out (the breast with rib in) it falls off the bone and LOOKS juicy.

All I do is throw oil and some water in the bottom, fresh garlic cloves and onion, 2 split breasts and italian seasoning, salt and pepper. eta: on high for 3 hrs

Try cooking on low for a longer cook time and add some broth I usually add broth or some kind of sauce to my slow cooking. I have even done a can of crushed tomatoes. I LOVE slow cooking and definitely recommend cooking low heat I only use high heat to wear pork for 30 min and do this while I'm home

I typically only cook boneless chicken breasts, and have done them in the slow cooker a ton. Put them on low heat and add more liquid of some sort (broth, stock, soup, tomatoes)

Yes, chicken needs a low setting in the crock pot.

I also tried this the other day (I grilled boneless breasts) and it kept it juicy.

I did an 1/8 cup to 2 cups since it's just me and DH. You should wash the brine off, too.

I'll usually leave it on 10 hours lol but that's when we are at work. If I am home- 8 hours is plenty!
