DH went
back to work today... He had been home with us these past 2 weeks and today was his first day back...
I think he was so sad when he said good by ti baby and me this morning...

Bill had to go back the day after we brought Emily home and it completely broke his heart. He comes home and just lays kisses all over her face, beacuse he misses her so much. He hates his job though at times and says that she gets him through it -- when his co-workers tick him off he just thinks of her and he says it keeps him happy and lets him know he has to do it.
Last night he came home and held her for like 3 hours straight without getting up one. i kept offering to put her in the crib so he could do things and he just kept saying "just a little more time."
Now he's got a cold and went to the DR today and they said he shouldn't hold her for 48 hours. He's so sad.

I think I was more sad when DH went back to work. I just wanted us to live in this little cocoon where money grows on trees and no one has to go to work.

My DH won't be able to take ANY time off. From what I'm told, a new daddy has to use their vaction/sick time FIRST then FMLA kicks in, well DH has only 4 days left until July when they get renewed, and he has 2 weddings to go to in April!!

Wow that really stinks. DH's company doesn't give any paternity leave but they were nice and he "worked" from home a couple of days a used a couple of vacation days.
