DH's Cat passed away.

DH's best buddy for 10 years passed away yesterday. she was old and had many things wrong with her. Last year we found out she had a tumor and it just got worse.

i'm not a pet person I never grew up having one but it's still sad to see my husband so heartbroken and i've been crying cuz I can feel his pain......even if i'm not a pet person I still feel the pain he is going through. He was an emotional mess yesterday morning, he couldn't even talk on the phone when he called his mother. He's fine now but he has his moments, he'll go to where her bed was and just stare. I was crying watching him clean up her litter box and emptying her food bowls. Last night he was looking for all the pictures he had of her. Really sad...


I did get used to having her around and you know what the apartment feels empty without her. Whenever me and my husband came home from being out the first thing he would do is check on her. I could just go on and on of the memories he had with her. She was his best friend for 10 years. When he got her she was alredy old so she lived a very long life and we thank god she passed away peacefully in her sleep in her bed than in pain.:

I'm so sorry about his cat. I know exactly how he feels, it's so heart breaking. I hope your DH gets through this ok.

He's been talking about her a lot so the best I can do for him is comfort him and listen to him talking about her.

She really was a good cat. I have never met a more well behaved cat than this one. She never hurt a fly and when kids came over she never hissed or scratched them. They've pulled her tail but she never did anything back to them.

I feel so bad for DH...my heart is broken cuz his is...

I'm so sorry. My cat passed away 5 weeks before my wedding, and I almost postponed my wedding. It is a great loss, but he has you to help him through it.

Danielle's dog buddy passed away 3 days before our wedding, and I was looking forward to taking pictures with buddy at the wedding, even though I only knew him for 2 years, I fell in love with him. He was a great dog, and he used to follow me around, and sit on my lap when I watched tv....I can only imagine what your husband feels like - Its like losing a member of your family....

DH said he's going to give himself time to mourn his cat and then eventually he wants another one. He is used to having a cat and cannot bear to live without having them.
