Re: Diamond Stud earrings?
i would advise to get screw backs you would not want to lose them.
I have the basket setting. the martini setting is pretty if you like it close to your ear.

Re: Diamond Stud earrings?
mine are similar to the ones you posted, except they are princess cut.
def get the screw back, it's annoying but worth the assurance that they stay on.

I've had my studs (without screwbacks) for about 10 years - I play(ed) indoor volleyball, beach volleyball and softball in them - one season after the other. Not ONCE did I have an issue. I think I got hit in the ear a couple of times too...

Re: Diamond Stud earrings?
I have the basket setting for my princess cut studs.
Don't have screw backs, but the post has a deep "wedge" towards the end of the post so the back gets kinda "stuck" there as you're trying to remove it and then you have to tug it off. Because of this, I never had the posts changed to the screw back.
I like the martini setting for round studs and the basket setting.

Re: Diamond Stud earrings?
DH bought me diamond studs for V-Day and i returned them to have screwbacks put on. I just feel more secure that way.

Re: Diamond Stud earrings?
I have princess cut studs. I do not have a screw back but I have the back where you have to press the two sides together of the backs in order to pull them off.
Screw backs are good but sometimes they wear off and you have to get them fixed. That happened to my husbands and his god daughters studs.
