Diaper Bag Question..
Are you bringing your diaper bag with you to the hospital? My friend told me she was bringing hers and I never thought to even bring mine being they have everything there you will need and the car ride home you shouldn't need anything no? Also what are you packing your diaper bag with? So far I was thinking..diapers, bib, burp cloth, change of clothes, wipes, rattle toy, cream, sanitizer?

Re: Diaper Bag Question..
You do not need to bring a diaper bag with you to the hospital. It's completely unnecessary, they have EVERYTHING you will need for the baby there and they encourage you to take whatever you don't use home with you. They have the side snap shirts that they dress the baby in, diapers, wipes, hats, thermometer, receiving blankets, burp cloths, everything. It's just another bag you'll have to carry and keep track of, leave it at home.

Re: Diaper Bag Question..
No i'm not planning on it, the hospital is less than 10 minutes away from our house and friends have told me that they give you tons stuff to bring home with you. I guess that depends on the hospital but a few friends have said they got packs of diapers, burp cloths, trial size creams, paci's, formula, etc.

I agree with pp... if your hospital is going to give you what you need - it's just extra stuff for you to keep track of. JMHO

Re: Diaper Bag Question..
You don't need to bring a diaper bag because they'll have everything in the hospital. I would bring an extra empty bag though to take as many supplies as you can home (both for you and baby)! We ran out of room in the similac diaper bag they gave us and DH brought an extra bag to stock up on postpartum stuff for me and extra baby supplies.

Re: Diaper Bag Question..
I was not sure either & originally I was going to pack it, but I think now I will just put what I need in my bag & bring an extra bag for any supplies that are given to us....

Re: Diaper Bag Question..
I did not bring mine to the hospital, but DH brought it when he came to pick us up to go home. We really didn't need it though, the hospital gives you supplies when you are discharged.

You don't need to bring anything for the baby except whatever you want to bring them home in
