Diaper question for you moms
What is the difference between the Pampers Baby Dry, Pampers Swaddlers, and Pampers Cruisers? I was trying to figure out the difference at the store, but there isn't anything on the packaging to say that one is better for this or that. Is there a difference, or is it just marketing?

I believe Pampers Swaddlers are best when baby is an infact (0-2 months). Pampers Baby Dry are my personal favorite - they hold alot and I found that they didn't leak.....they are best for nighttime (they are pricey but I found they were worth the price). Pampers Cruisers are just as they state - when the baby is on the go. I never used these. I stuck with Pampers Baby Dry - until Costco stopped selling them and then I switched to Kirkland which are just as good as Pampers Baby Dry and not as pricey. Hope this helps.

Re: Diaper question for you moms
Swaddlers only come in the smallest sizes (Newborn, 1, 1-2, 2), and then they graduate to cruisers (3 and up). The two diapers are very similar in terms of texture and fit. They have stretchy sides and feel soft.
I've heard that Baby Dry absorbs a bit more than the cruisers, but that they have more material making it a bit harder for baby to move around. I've used a few baby dry and thought they seemed less comfy -- the sides don't stretch in the same way and they were less soft. Baby Dry diapers are a bit cheaper than the Cruisers, so if they work for you thats a bonus.

I use swaddlers during the day - but baby dry at night - they absorb more.

Re: Diaper question for you moms
I just switched to Cruisers and have found them to work well. I haven't tried the Baby Dry because I like the stretchiness of the Cruisers.

Re: Diaper question for you moms
cruisers have less in a pack for the money, they are considered pampers top of the line.
I once emailed pampers to ask the same question! LOL
I was told that cruisers stretch more....... but baby dry and cruisers absorb the same, it has to do w/ the stretchiness and that if the baby has for e.g. chubby thighs as my girl does lol, cruisers work better. They emailed me about twins, one chunky and one long and the thinner one used baby dry and the other twin, the swaddlers/cruisers.
WHo knows if they made up the story but that is what they told me, swaddlers only go up to a certain weight and then become Cruisers.

You will also have to try them to see what works for your baby. I loved baby dry but when I got to size 3 - they stopped working for my son for some reason. he leaked all the time - so I moved to crusiers and never leaked again.
