Diaper rash remedies?
My DD is 3 weeks today and she has diaper rash. I was using A&D ointment, but I read you should use something with zinc for diaper rash so this morning I started with desitin. I try to let it air out a little at each changing. Any other tips? TIA

Re: Diaper rash remedies?
Desitand and Balmex usually work within 2 days or so....if its areally bad rash, try Triple Paste (its pricier but works really really well)

Re: Diaper rash remedies?
For a little rash Balmex has always worked for us. If it gets really really bad I use Triple Paste or home remedy of cornstarch mixed with vaseline

Re: Diaper rash remedies?
For normal diaper rash i use balmex or desitin, and/or glob on some vaseline after letting the coolie dry out a bit.
Warm baths then a dry out, then a diaper with some cream do wonders. Be sure to glob on the cream so it doesn't get absorbed into the diaper.
I give it 3 days and if it doesn't get better or starts bleeding or getting raw i call my ped for prescription or free samples of triple paste :)
