diaper rash/skin issues?
Help! My 13 month old is miserable. He has BAD diaper rash. I have no idea why he got it - we think maybe teething?
Anyway, I think i own every diaper cream they sell at CVS... the Clear Desitin was seeming to help... but today it got worse than ever - i think it was even bleeding!
I calle dthe doctor... she said to try Nystatin. I have the prescirption, but DH isn't a fan of medicines unless he knows what the problem is, and knows the medicine is for THAT problem.
ugh!
Also, lately i'm noticing his skin has lots of pink bumps... I think it's eczema, but i'm really not sure....
Anyone have any thoughts on this stuff?
TIA!

Re: diaper rash/skin issues?
I know in the past DS has gotten a few bad diaper rashes. I would mix the Destin Creamy nighttime one with Triple paste. It would seem to help also when you try and wipe him just use a cool cloth and try to tap him not wipe. the best thing to do is to have him air himself out as much as possible. I know it is hard and messy to have a child without a diaper but air can help. Good luck

Re: diaper rash/skin issues?
Ryan is just getting over a yeast rash down there. We tried everything and nothing worked.
Ped prescribed the Nystacin as well as Hydro cortisone cream. Cleared it up in 2 days flat.
The cause of the yeast rash was being on an antibiotic for 2 weeks post surgery.
