diaper sizing question

DD has been leaking out of NB and size 1 diapers. I think the NB are too small but size 1 are too big. I have pampers size 1 swaddlers and they are huge and target size 1 which has one for 8-10 lbs and even though they are smaller, they are still too big. She is over 8.5 lbs. It's so frustrating. Any ideas?

i use bigger diapers, i started n a size one and my son was less than 7 pounds...now hes in a size 2 and about 14 pounds i guess, not sure exactly, i find a little bigger is better as long as its not baggy around the inner thigh...

I have found Huggies to be a little bigger than Pampers so I used Huggies NB after DS grew out of Pampers NB but Pampers Size1's were too big. Not a huge fan of Huggies, but they served the purpose for a week or so.

I personally had an issue with Pampers with Kristina... Huggies have worked so very well with her - they were my saving grace!

Thanks everyone! I think I will try Huggies and see if they will hold us over until she is officially in size 1s. I think her thighs are just too skinny (I never thought that would be an issue with my child!! ) because that is where she leaks every time. I also have a small pack of newborn CVS brand so we can try that too.

I've found that in general moms of girls tend to like Huggies where as my DS pees right through them every time - we can only use Pampers (and not even the dry weave - only swaddlers). I think it depends on the baby as to which diaper is best.
