Did anybody have these symptoms in the months after delivery? Please help me.
I am 3.5 months pp. My first month pp was horrible after the c-section. I was in and out of the hospital as I had a reaction to the spinal, then a blood infection. I began having 'wobbly' legs after the infection cleared, about 6 weeks pp. I know that I am heavier and maybe it's the weight, which will take time to lose.
Now recently I am trying to play with DS on the floor and my legs go numb. I feel like I'm not feeling them like I used to, even when I'm not on the floor. It almost feels like when they would swell near the end of pregnancy in the summer. Now my rings aren't fitting again. Am I swelling again? I am going to my doctor this week because I have other problems, but I'm wondering if this rings a bell to any of you. TIA!!!

Hey Kelly, the only thing I can tell you about the numbness (having had back and nerve problems) is that it's probably the extra weight and maybe a little nerve compression. I would see a chiropractor-I bet they could fix that. As for the swelling, mine never went away yet at 2 1/2 months PP and they tell me that could happen. I have to elevate my feet when nursing and sitting and avoid salt. Maybe there was some hidden salt in your food lately? Sorry I'm not much more of a help.

I've been seeing a chiropractor. And I lost most of the weight from the pregnancy. Hmmmmmm. Stupid, stupid, stupid annoying things that happen.

Congrats on the weight! I'm having an awful time with that.
Did you mention it to your chiro? When my legs bother me, he does something different and stretches them out to my side and it works! I hope you feel better and the doc has an answer for you.

Did you have preeclampsia with the pregnancy? I know that my obgyn wanted me to keep an eye on any swelling after I delivered because you could develop eclampsia. I would cll your doctor and avoid salt until you can meet your obgyn. HTH

Definitely talk to your OB. One of the first things mine told me at my post partum visit was to watch for swelling and to let them know.

For about the first three months that Jack was here my legs were in so much pain. I still don't really know why - but it would be so hard to get off the floor when we were down. I would have to go to a couch and pull myself up. My knees would kill. I'm not sure if that's what you are talking about or not.
This has actually gone away for the last month or so.
If you think it's something else then I would talk to your dr.

After I delivered I started to get RLS. I thought that it was because of the epidural, but my doc said he never heard of that. But yours sounds more serious. I am glad you are going to the dr. Good luck, and keep us updated!!

I think you should definately go to the doctor. do your legs swell? A blood clot could be an issue. It's very serious. I don't want to scare you and make it more than it probably is, but you at least want to rule that out.
Feel better

me me!! i retained alot of water. also had csection and GD. Although alot of my swelling is down its not all gone. Any sock i wear leaves indents on my ankles even baggy socks? I asked ob/gyn at 6 week visit and she said to give it time but almost 9 weeks pp here and its still not gone. I also STILL have aunt FLO - ugh!!! i'm going to call again if it doesnt go away soon. It may take longer also because of the nursing so our bodies hold onto the water. I don't know??? let me know how it goes

Re: Did anybody have these symptoms in the months after delivery? Please help me.
Well, I'm heading to the doctor tomorrow. But I have a feeling it's just step one. Because of my tumor I have a feeling that I'll be sent to the neurologist because they will be afraid it's my tumor pressing on something. (Although, if it were my tumor, it's supposed to grow and affect my eyesight, not numb my legs. But they won't think that.) So this stupid thing will drag on for weeks.

Have they checked your thyroid? You could have post partum thyroiditis and be in the hypothyroid stage??
