Did anyone else experience this very early on? Insomnia
Since two nights before I got my BFP on Friday (so i know it is not just the excitement) I have not been able to sleep. It is hard to fall asleep at night and I don't fall asleep until after midnight then, starting around 2 i toss and turn, wake up every hour and around 6:30 am up for good (usually woken up by having to pee). I am SO EXHAUSTED!
It is worrying me though because from what I've read on here I should be sleeping more not less now and i am not far along at all as af was only expected today.
Thanks ladies

Re: Did anyone else experience this very early on? Insomnia
That is exactly when my trouble sleeping started. I am starting my 8th week and it is still the same thing. My doctor said it is normal and to just try to take cat naps during the day.

Re: Did anyone else experience this very early on? Insomnia
Yes. I remember never being able to sleep at night initially. It got better in the second trimester and has come back in full force in the third trimester. I have always been tired during the pregnancy, but actually trying to fall asleep at night has become a whole different matter. At first I think it was my body adjusting to the pregnancy. Now it is just general discomfort with my belly being so huge! That and having to get up and go to the bathroom every half hour!

Re: Did anyone else experience this very early on? Insomnia
I went through a period of time when all I wanted to do and did was sleep. Then I went through an insomniac stage as well. I think it was b/c I had a million things going through my mind regarding the baby. I would not be able to sleep through the night. It goes away eventually, and you get back into the exhausted stage.

Re: Did anyone else experience this very early on? Insomnia
I had a lot of trouble sleeping during my first trimester. It started when I was about 8 weeks and continued until 12 weeks. I just began my second trimester and I'm sleeping much better the past 2 weeks. It passes! What helped me was sleeping with a pillow between my knees. Weird but it worked.

Re: Did anyone else experience this very early on? Insomnia
I was just wondering this myself. I have also had problems sleeping. I thought it was because I've been different temperatures, mainly hot. But I've also been itchy. I'm at 4 weeks.

I had insomnia in the beginning too. I think it is from the hormones.

Re: Did anyone else experience this very early on? Insomnia
I have had this starting pretty early on. Once I wake up to pee in the middle of the night I am usually up for at least another 3 hours or so. It's exhausting.
