Re: Did anyone else hear about a possible Nor'easter on Sat into Sun?
I thnk it's actually going to be worse tomorrow....
This is the report from NOAA....

WITH COLD AIR ALREADY IN PLACE BY THURSDAY MORNING...SNOW WILL DEVELOP FROM SOUTHWEST TO NORTHEAST ACROSS THE NEW YORK CITY METRO AREA AND LONG ISLAND THURSDAY MORNING...THEN MIX WITH OR POSSIBLY CHANGE TO SLEET THURSDAY AFTERNOON. THERE IS THE CHANCE THAT RAIN MAY ALSO MIX IN ALONG THE IMMEDIATE COAST IN THE AFTERNOON AS WELL. THERE IS THE POTENTIAL FOR 3 TO 5 INCHES SNOW AND SLEET ACROSS SOUTHERN PORTIONS OF NORTHEAST NEW JERSEY AND NEW YORK CITY...2 TO 4 INCHES OF SNOW AND SLEET ACROSS SOUTHERN PORTIONS OF NEW YORK CITY...EAST INTO CENTRAL SUFFOLK COUNTY...AND 1 TO 3 INCHES OF SNOW AND SLEET ACROSS THE TWIN FORKS. PRECIPITATION SHOULD TAPER OFF FROM WEST TO EAST THURSDAY EVENING AS A PERIOD OF LIGHT SNOW AND SLEET...POSSIBLY MIXED WITH RAIN RIGHT ALONG THE IMMEDIATE COAST.
FOR LATE SATURDAY INTO SUNDAY...A SIGNIFICANT COASTAL STORM IS POSSIBLE...WITH HEAVY MIXED PRECIPITATION...HIGH WINDS...AND POSSIBLE COASTAL FLOODING ALONG BOTH THE ATLANTIC AND LONG ISLAND SOUND COASTS...INCLUDING THE BACK BAYS OF LONG ISLAND. STAY TUNED.

Re: Did anyone else hear about a possible Nor'easter on Sat into Sun?
I was just listening to WPLJ & they were saying they do not want to predict the snow totals for Sunday yet bc it definately depends on the track. They say it could be 2 inches of snow & turning to rain or up to 20 inches of pure snow
Should be an interesting weekend

Re: Did anyone else hear about a possible Nor'easter on Sat into Sun?
I hope it is enough to decide that we're not driving to NJ for a party this Saturday.
I really don't want to go and bad weather would provide us with the perfect excuse.
In the move, we forgot to bring our snow shovels with us. The Ace hardware store by me doesn't even have any!
To Home Depot, I go....

Re: Did anyone else hear about a possible Nor'easter on Sat into Sun?
I did!
There's a storm coming tomorrow as well. I've heard conflicting reports of accumulations but, I live "north and west" of the city so it should be interesting. Of course, DH is working so I will have to shovel the driveway - he warned me it would always work that way!

Re: Did anyone else hear about a possible Nor'easter on Sat into Sun?
I like snow, but not this weekend. We are going to a family gathering in Brooklyn and then my MIL passed away 2 years ago to the day on Sunday and it is going to be very depressing to be in the house.

Correct! Bread and milk cosumption rise proportionately with the amount of snow fall! Everyone knows that!
