Did anyone else's pets...

totally sniff out their presents under the tree this year?

When we all woke up on Christmas Morning, Charlie went straight for the new rope toy that we got her. She was obsessed with the package, pawing at it and sniffing it, until we finally helped her open it.

I just think it's so smart of her! It shows how clever our pets are! She certainly enjoyed her Christmas! Santa Paws brought her a new rope toy, some treats, and an engraved dog tag. Up until now she has only had her rabies tag and her dog license so it's nice that she has a personalized tag!

I hope you all enjoyed Christmas with your pets! They certainly do add a little something special to our holidays!

i put dh's stocking, and quinn and ava's stockings under the tree yesterday morning... i forgot all about them while dh ran to the store bc i was having a baking-crisis - i went downstairs and discovered both of their stockings strewn about the room, with their toys everywhere and them each noshing away on a bone. dh came home and saw the mess and i said 'well it's christmas, i could only hold them off for so long!' like they are little children! they ARE smart though - they didn't even touch dh's stocking, which i'm surprised bc there was chocolate covered oreos in there!
santa was VERY good to quinn and ava this year... so was their aunt and grandparents!!

We didn't wrap them under the tree, we wrapped them and put them in their stocking. But yup, they totally knew which stocking was theirs! I caught Irwin on Christmas morning sniffing at the stocking like a little kid anxious to open his gifts. But I guess he thought he was being bad by opening the paper because he wouldn't open them! lol! Lucy grabbed everything, brought it to her crate, and tore it open with reckless abandon, but Irwin just kept looking at it funny until DH finally opened it for him.

I didn't wrap any of the gifts. Cosmo knew exactly what belonged to him and started playing right away with his new toys.

Our Molly stole everyone else's presents. She broke into the gift closet and brought us out all the kid's presents (stuffed animals, baby cloths, etc.). She even opened the gift bags for the guests who received the items! She's so bad!

Yes and he was very excited for the amazon box/plastic bag it came in!

I think the toy had cat nip in it so that is why. we try not to give him nip because he gets possessed with it.

He loves his new play toy.

Yep. Our beagle knows how to unwrap presents. She gently paws at it until she can get a piece to grab onto with her teeth. It is so funny that she knows its whats IN it that is her present and not the paper itself.

We wrap our dogs presents in just rolled up paper. She ran under the tree and started unwrapping them. She took her pile and hid them and then went and opened my mom's dogs pile.

Before we let her into the tree she stood outside the room barking. She loves Santa Clause.
