Did anyone have the Baptism on one day and party on another?
I am having an extremely difficult time finding someplace to have our luncheon sand I am getting desperate. DH suggested spreading it out on two days and at first I dismissed the idea but know I am running out of options.
I was just wondering if anyone has done it this way.

Could you possibly have it at home? I would keep looking for a place to have it instead of having the guests dedicate two days for one event. It's kind of like having a wedding ceremony and then the reception the next day. Not something I would do.
Good luck!

I had the baptism on Saturday and party on Sunday. It was the best thing ever! Really you didnt have to worry about rushing or packing so much to bring. It was a great weekend and whomever is going to come to the church is still going ot come.

I wish I could have it at home but my house is just too small and we are planning about 100+ people ( ). No too many would be coming to the church anyway- in my church, it is done within the service and not too many people want to sit through the entire service.
I am going to keep looking for places- but I guess this is an option to fall back on!

really any place that can hold 100+ people. I've looked at halls, restaurants and catering halls. This is what I get for marrying into a very large family- every family function has to be such an ordeal!

Honestly, I don't think I would be "thrilled" going to this on 2 seperate dates. I don't think you would have a great turn-out that way.
That's just my honest opinion..
where are you trying to book and for what date?
