Did anyone have to take Amoxicillin during pregnancy?

I am 26 weeks and just found out that I have an ear infection and a sinus infection. My primary doctor said that I have to take 875 mg of amoxicillin twice a day. He said it is safe during pregnancy, but it still makes me nervous. I know that leaving it untreated is more of a risk for the baby. My OB office hasn't returned my call yet.

I never took Amoxicillin, but I have taken z-pack when I had a sinus infection. I'm sure it's okay but if you feel more comfortable waiting to hear back from your OB, I'm sure it's fine.

I just finnished my amoxicillin prescription for a sinus infection. It was on the list of safe if prescribed and I asked my ob and she said that you are doing less harm to your baby by taking the prescription than would be done by the infection spreading.
Also she said there is no link between taking the amox. and and side effects while being pregnant.

im taking amoxicilin now for asthmatic bronchitis. my OB ok'd me taking it. it's cat B.

yes for a sinus infection.

The "baby" is now 7 & is exhibiting signs of obnoxiousness but that's about it.

I took a different antibiotic called Azyrothymicin (Sp?) my OB approved it. I had bad bronchitis, I was desperate!

I took it for a double ear infection and everything was fine - my ob/gyn, my regular md, and my pharmacist said it's fine. Feel better!
