Did anyone have trouble sleeping early in their pregnancy?
I'll be 11wks on Sunday and for the past several nights, I just can't sleep. I fall asleep no problem but then wake up several times during the night and can't get back to sleep. I just can't get comfortable. I'm not even showing yet so I can't blame it on my belly. Did anyone experience something similar? Does it get better?

yes I went through a period of no sleeping early in pregnancy. I don't remember the exact weeks, but it was definitely the first tri. It lasted about 2 weeks and then I slept like a baby!!

i was the same way. it lasted until my second trimester started - then i slept great! unfortunately its even worse now in the 3rd

Yes!! I am 8 weeks and having a hard time falling asleep most nights or if DS wakes up I have a hard time going back to sleep. It stinks and I cant wait for it to go away

Yes! Only in the last few weeks have I felt like I was getting good sleep! Actually the last few nights I slept better than I have since we were married (June)!!!

I think it's your body getting you used to waking up in the night. It happened to me around 8 weeks. It was not so fun...

I only wke up when I have to go to the bathroom. Once I take care of that, I fall right back asleep.
It annoys me though because I used to sleep allllllll night through....not in the last 13 weeks though!

I can't sleep either and it's making me very stressed. I usually fall asleep and wake up 2 hours later to pee and then fall back asleep only to repeat the process 2 hours later  I'm up a good 3-4 times a night

T---its been happening to me too...it used to be just waking up to use the bathroom, but the last 2 nights I got up around 130 to pee & then been tossing/turning for at least an hour or so...not fun when I have to be up at 5!
I did find though that although I'm exhausted, if I hold out until 930-10pm I do better than if I crash at 8-830 (like I had been doing).

I can't sleep and I'm in the 9th week. I get up to pee and can't go back to sleep because I hear DH breathing and it is too loud! poor guy. I had to buy earplugs so I could go back to sleep but even then I have problems with sleeplessness. Some nights I stay awake for hours for no reason.

I had a really hard time sleeping in the beginning. Now when I fall asleep I am in a COMA! But it is harder to fall asleep now because of back/hip pain for me

It is making me so cranky and I'm exhausted by 8pm. I've been trying to stay away until at least 10pm but it's hard. Last night, I woke up at 12:30, 3AM, and finally at 7am. This stinks! I love sleeping!

Yes, sleeping is such a chore.
If I sleep on my left side, my left arm and leg go numb. If I sleep on my right side, I have to pee. If I give up and sleep on my back, the weight of my belly kind of hurts/it's uncomfortable. The other day I decided to ball up the comforter and sleep on my belly on top of it...so nice. I'm only 13 weeks...I warned DH that it only gets better.

I feel your pain. The earplugs do work, but usually in the morning they can get uncomfortable, but for the most part if I'm tired they do help.
