I read the article. It does seem strange but it didn't say if she was cuffed in front of back. If in back she could have tried to flip them over to the front and then could have strangled herself. I don't see how this would be possible if she was cuffed in the front.

This is so sad. Although when we saw it on the news, DH said that hes worried that will happen to me one day - we missed a flight once and I was so worked up!

Wow. Strange & sad. She certainly wasn't in her right mind. Why would you try to get out of handcuffs if you're being detained? Did she think she was going to escape & board the flight?
