Did anyone know that my DH is now a
OBGYN?????????????
This is news to me? I know he cares...but he is driving me nuts! I understand I have to drink a lot of water...and eat...but when I am nausus alll dayy its very hard to get water and food down!!!!

Adrianna, Ok...so he is an Occupational Therapist, Carpenter (Tidy Painting) and now OBGYN.....
I am so lucky...haha....
I know he means well...but its hard

My hubby is the same way!!
Just the other day he told me that I'm dehydrated and that I need to drink more water or the baby will have downs He has absolutely no clue what he's talking about and he's driving me crazy!!!

That is funny because I went to school for 9 years and was in the medical profession so I have A LOT of experience and have delivered a few babies myself.............
That being said I had extreme morning sickness. I lost 14lbs. I Was almost hospitalized. I received IV fluid for hysdration numerous times and I went a few weeks iwhtout eating any solid food.
DH started to to make comments to me about not eating enough and depriving the baby blah blah blah. His mother FMIL Never had any food aversions or morning sickness and constantly reminds us of it. She thinks that I have some sort of stomach virus, or can control this, so she 's not helping the cause!
I told him, very bluntly, that the day that he gets pregnant and knows EXACTLY what i'm going though, he can make suggestions and or comments. Until then, he is to support me emotionally and physically and not make me feel worse than I already do................
That seemed to do the trick. Also, at one of my appointments my midwife gave him a book all about morning sickness for him to borrow and read so that he could understand that this was not in my head or anything that I could control!

MY DH questions everythign I eat if I'm "allowed" to eat that and that I'm not eating enough...maybe you're DH and my DH should open up a practice together,yours could be the OBGYN and mine the nutritionist...

 I keep trying to explain to DH that I feel like I have had severe flu for 12 weeks. He thinks I can jsut "make it go away."
