My father always says this, but my father thinks LI should become it's own state, not country. LI becoming it's own Country is a little extreme.

This guy needs to stop dreaming and go get a steady job already...
I'm from Queens and I'd like Queens to stay as a county in NYS and not join as a country with Nassau, Suffolk, and Brooklyn. Not because I have anything against LI or Brooklyn but because the idea is just plain silly.
I could understand if his suggestion was for LI to be it's own state but country??? This guy has way too much time on his hands...

I like to tell people that I am from NY there is a sense of pride in that for me...so I would not want LI to become its own state or country
