did anyone see this yesterday?

I happened to have the TV on in my office for a bit & I caught this.
The guy who bought this house is a jackass, he didn't even attempt to look through the windows???
What a moron, I hope they tell him it needs to be torn down. Just one of the many things that can happen when people go into foreclosure!

Re: did anyone see this yesterday?

I was reading this story over someone's shoulder on the train this morning...

You'd think that since he lived NEXT DOOR he would've looked in the windows or asked to look around.

You don't ask someone who's selling a house if it's in good shape, obviously they will say it is if they are trying to sell it!

I thought it was typical with foreclosures that you can't see the property first.

I think the state of the house is disturbing on many levels - a garage full of dead animals?? Where did these people go and will they be found and arrested???

I have visited every property I ever bought before I bought it even if it was to only walk around the property. The windows weren't boarded up & this buyer lived in the neighborhood, on the show you could see through a giant window into the poop filled house.

Re: did anyone see this yesterday?

Yes, he was foolish for not looking in the windows (you agree to buy the property as-is without seeing inside when it's a foreclosure).

I don't think he was a moron though, he abviously was able to front $2.6M, so he must have some sense. I feel bad about the situation though, that really sux!

So he'll get it cleaned out and replace the floors, it won't cost him THAT much money. Yes its disgusting but his money is not thrown in the garbage.

That cat in the picture was very cute though. Those poor animals, I feel bad for the kitties.

Hmmmm. The story about the house was all over the news a few weeks ago and animal control took out some lives cats. I guess he lived out of state or didn't see/read about the house before buying?

Re: did anyone see this yesterday?

I just read the article you attatched and didn't realize it was a foreclosure.

The one I had read said he asked the owner if it was in good shape and the response was yes...

We were looking into a house in foreclosure and we drove by it every day and DH looked in the windows (it ended up coming out of foreclosure).
