Did anyone send in the paperwork if it showed you had $$ on that NYS Unclaimed Funds site?
My name came up twice on there and I sent in the paperwork and all the backup (license, marriage cert, etc). I got a letter probably like 6 months ago saying they received it for one of them but not the other. Still haven't received any $$ though. If you did how long did it take? Can I contact someone to get a status? Was just thinking of this and realized it's been a long time...

I did it a few years ago for FIL.
It took about a year to get the funds, because there is such a huge backup.
I e-mailed them periodically to find out the status of the check, actually got to speak with someone who was working on the claim.

It shouldn't take too long...I would follow up with them. Maybe they never received your form.

Thanks i'm calling the 800 number now... does your name come off the list on the site once they send you your $? My name is still up there twice.

Mine said I couldn't do it online, had to mail it in. I guess b/c my address and last name is different...
Mine was listed under my maiden name with my parents home address. I was able to get the check without a problem. not sure why.

He processed it for me!! Had to verify a few things and i'm getting a check in 7 days!!!!!

Mine was like $32 and it took like 6 months. Same thing, different addy, different name.

Everyone should check to see if their name is on it. I did a few years ago, sent the paperwork in and got a check for $1400. It was so exciting.
