Re: did anyone skip the toddler bed abnd go staright to a full?
we just did this. My DS had jungle themed bedding and room (kidsline zanzibar) and since it's not too babyish i just got him solid colored bedding to match from jcpenney.com so i wouldn't have to redo his whole room just yet
eta: kidsline makes full size bedding. they had the zanzibar pattern in full size, but it would have been a lot more expensive to go that route, especially considering i needed 2 sets of sheets and 2 mattress protectors in case of accidents

We did and it was the best decision. I did see some full sizes at target as well. We went with a floral/butterfly pattern.

yup, Ella went from the crib to a full bed. Finding appropriate bedding was no problem.

I'm planning to do this when the time comes. There's full size bedding EVERYWHERE! You won't have any problem at all!

My son always hated his crib and wound up in our bed! I converted his crib to a full bed. He finally has no problem sleeping in his room!
The have plenty of full size kid bedding.

We skipped from a crib to a twin size for both kids. Worked out fine. I thought it was a waste of money to get something for only a few years, that was functionally the same.

We moved Alex from the crib to a twin size bed that we bought at Ikea - I let her pick out her bedding there as well.

We skipped the toddler bed, partly because he crib turned into one and we didnt want to store the crib for the next baby. I got her set at Kohls, they had tons there.

When DD is done with the crib (hopefully a LONG time from now ) our plan is to move her to a full-size bed because we have a great mattress that is only about 2 years old that we'll use.

We went straight to a twin bed when she was about 26 months old. I saw no reason to try and transition her more than once.
