i watched it too and thought the same thing. they are really big and scary looking to me! i only caught the last half hour but will probably tune in again.

YES!!! I LOVED it! I especially love that all of the courses are same, just a bit more advanced! The Gladiators are insane!! And I am not quite sure if those are actually women though?? 
One of the guys looks like one of the originals but I don't remember his name and his hair is reddish brown now so he looks different. I have to go look that one up.

my dh and i watched the 2 hours of it and we enjoyed it. we felt bad for the 2 people who got hurt. i'm looking forward to tonight's episode.

the only thing i didnt like about the show is .. they do too many interviews with the contenders.. after every event!

DH and I watched all of it too.
Loved it! It's on again tonight!
How ironic about that guy who was supposed to be on 14 years ago. I personally could care less for him, loved the Chinese guy. But so weird that 14 years later he re-qualified.

YES!!! DH and I were glued to the tv for 2 hours! It really brings back memories b/c they are doing most of the same games from the original show.
I felt bad for the girl who hurt her knee two minutes into the first event, hopefully they will let her back for season #2.
