Did anyone watch Cash in the Attic on HGTV last night?
they had a couple on from Long Island.. they inherited her grandmother's house and the house was in desperate need of repairs!! they wanted to raise $5K to kick off the work that the house needs.
that was possibly the dumbest couple I have ever seen! they put a HIGH reserve price on everything and NOTHING SOLD!
they said that after the auction was over, they managed to sell $3k worth of stuff.
they had SO MUCH stuff to sell in that house and only took about 3% of it. they could have made some SERIOUS $$$$$$$ to fix up that house.

Oh man. I love that show but missed that episode. I'm sure it will be on again.
I never understood why some folks are so tight with their crap. If you didn't even use the stuff, why are you demanding so much money. I love when the homeowner says "I think we can get 5K" and the host says "Maybe 3K". hehe

I don't understand that! not only was their basement FULL of stuff, but they had a barn that you could barely walk through b/c of all the stuff in there. they took a tiny fraction of it to auction. weirdoes

crazy folks. Well now they'll have to sell that crap on ebay and probably won't make near as much as they would have at the auction. Where on LI were they if they had a barn?

I missed that one but I just saw one last week with another couple from Long Island. They wanted to buy a big screen TV.
