Did anyone's DC have an allergic reaction to rice cereal?
It seemed as though Ava was doing fine from the rice cereal, but yesterday, I noticed she had like an oozing diaper rash. TMI, I know, I'm sorry. But I don't know if this could be from her shots the other day, from the cereal or from her diaper being too tight around her leg. (The rash is kind of near the fold of her leg). There were no other signs that she was having an allergic reaction to the rice, just the diaper rash, which she's never had before.

for Ava! Matteo didn't have a reaction, he just started spitting up like crazy on the rice cereal. Our pediatrician had us switch to oatmeal.

Re: Did anyone's DC have an allergic reaction to rice cereal?
Thanks girls. I'm going to forget the rice cereal for now and wait a few days then try oatmeal. I just have a feeling that Ava is going to have some hefty food allergies. I am annoyed, though, because all of these "cereals" have so much crap mixed into them. She is allergic to soy, and every brand of rice cereal had some form of soy in it. I finally checked out Beechnut and they didn't have any soy in it, so I think she's having a reaction just to the rice

I noticed when I looking at the cereals also. I buy Earth's Best Organic. I know you said she is allergic to the rice but I just wanted you to see what was in this brand : Organic Brown rice, organic rice bran extract, toccopherols (vitamin e), alpha-amylase (enszyme), electrolytic iron. Even compard to the gerber Organic this had the least ingridents. I noticed it is cheapest in BRU and they have rice, oatmean and barley.

You know, I have noticed that after Liam eats the rice cereal he gets little dats on his baby that eventually go away - it's the weirdest this. He has always eaten the oatmeal but because it was a two for one I have been trying to give him the rice-----thanks for posting. I actually learned something.
