did you break up your childs shots?

so they don't get them all at once...if so, how did you break them up? Does the dr. decide or did you?

I didn't break them up because it was more expensive to do that (VERY EXPENSIVE). Instead I waited until they were older to give them the shots - and if they were the slightest bit sick (including mild cold), I didn't delayed again.

All at once? My ped does 1 or 2 shots per visit, never more. He always asks if I am going to give shots and which ones (I let him decide which ones are going to be given, he's the expert not me) If Im not in the mood or they are super cranky or sick I don't give any.

My ped does two at a time. Although, there was one group that was three.

I am asking becuase of the autism issues - I dont know much about it -so I thought maybe someone could shed some light...

The autism fears are tied to mercury perservatives in the shots, which at this point is an unproven theory but does have people worried. You can get mercury-free shots, which eliminates that concern completely.

I will be breaking them up. I have a schedule my friend used but we haven't decided for sure on ours yet but I can FM it to you if you like.

My ped does 2 shots at every well visit so I kept it that way. Marissa has been fine with all the shots so far

I never did more than 2 at a time. I do know when Delaney was a few months old the doctor wanted to do one shot that included several other immunizations, we opted to do the individual shots instead. We weren't sure if she had an allergic reaction, how would we know which one she was allergic too so we opted to do the shots over a few months.

Here is my friends schedule of how she broke up her daughters shots. I don't know if I will use this or not because I really haven't done all the research I want to do.
They did not do Hep B which we did not do either

Her daughter is only a year old so the rest is their planned schedule

AHHHH neither of my kids have had Hep B yet because of the way to contract it.

In NY you cant pick and choose which shots you want to give for entering school. Its either all or none, thats why I asked
