If so, was it rewarding? Are you glad you did it? Was it worth the pay?

ets: this would be an adult prep course...and, I'm on the younger side, so I'm not sure how well I'd be received...Chat Icon

I did private tutpring for the SAT. It was very rewarding. I really enjoyed it and I'm going back as much because I miss it as for the money. It stank that I was getting so small a portion of the money, but it was still decent.

but I have to add this was for tutoring. I really never wanted to be a classroom teacher for a prep course just because of the kids, rowdiness, etc. It pays less, and that's not enough to have to deal with discipline too

I have adjunct taught graduate classes, when I was as young as 25. In general I think adult students are more well-behaved in general, and did not give me any problems. It was actually the younger ones who were answering cell phones, etc., but I don't think that was because I was young.

ETA: No, it probably wasn't worth the pay because it involved a lot of prep, but I am contemplating to one day go full time as a prof. so you need to adjunct first. It's like anything--the first time you do it there is a lot of prep work involved, and the next time gets easier.
