Re: Did you ever wish you had different parents?
See at first I picked that I wished I had a different dad. He was VERY abusive and now is out of my life.. but, I think it all shaped who I am today. And I am much stronger for it. So maybe not? And as weird as it sounds I do have good memories of him too.
But, my Mom.. My best best friend. The thought of her not being there one day is my WORST fear. I don't even know how I would go on. We talk like 5 times a day and see each other most days.

Not in a MILLION years!!!!
They are the most amazing people I know. The best friends, parents and grandparents.

Re: Did you ever wish you had different parents?
No! NEVER! I am very lucky to have the most amazing parents! They are so supportive, loving, caring, and giving pple.
Their grandchildren and children come first. Plus, they have a great life and enjoy going out with friends too. They got it all... great parents, grandparents, friends and both are hard workers.

Re: Did you ever wish you had different parents?
I believe everything happens for a reason, and if I didn't have them, and go through what I went through, I wouldn't be the person I am today.
Had you asked this question a few years ago my answer would have been yes. I wasn't in the place I am today.
There is always a tiny part of me that wonders about what it would have been to have a more normal life though

Yes and No.
No because I love my parents and believe that their shortcomings have made me a better person.
Yes because I see others who are so close to their mothers and fathers and I wish I had that kind of relationship. Recent events have made me think that I'll always be further from their mind then they are from mine.
ITA - feel the same way...
