did you gain weight when you stopped BFing?
I feel like ever since I stopped BFing I've been putting on some of the weight I lost. At my best I was down to 133 and now I'm more like 136.

I didn't put any on, but the weight didn't come off as quickly. I also stopped drinking so much water each day, I think that didn't help!

So you don't get your body back? I was hoping the last 5-10 pounds that won't move was because my body needed it because of bf........so there is little hope of me loosing it when I stop?

That's kind of what I was hoping on too. But I guess your body gets used to holding onto those extra calories because you burn them off BFing. And then when you stop, your body continues to carry them. I was so hoping to drop those last 5 pounds, but it seems as those it's going to require more effort.

Stopping BF did the opposite for me, I lost 10lbs in a month when i stopped.
I was one of the unlucky ones that didn't reep the weight loss benefits of BF'ing!

I didn't, but that's also because I was very mindful of limiting my calorie intake and increasing my exercise to counter the decrease in calories burnt as a result of BFing... my body was completely out of whack for a good 2-3 months - after then, everything stabilized and I'm pretty much at my pre-preggo weight.

I havent stopped but have dropped the daytime feedings and have gained about 4lbs in two weeks ....and stopping BF has been the only change...sucks...I guess I will have to start exercising now! I had hoped that my body was storing and I would drop more weight once I stopped BF...no such luck.

I was down to pre-preggo weight while BFing, and when I stopped I put on ten pounds again! I was still so hungry all the time, and didn't realize my metabolism had slowed since I wasn't using all that energy to BF anymore.
I usually go to the gym 3-4 times per week and watch what I eat, but the weight is still there. I'm also a little older though so I know it makes it a little tougher.

YUP!!!!!
I was below my pre-preg. weight while BFing. Once I stopped, I started gaining, and am now more than before I got PG (and I'd bet more than I was at the end of PG)! I know I am not eating any differently than I did before I got PG. But SOMETHING has changed.
