Did you get professional maternity pics taken?
I wasn't thinking of doing this but so many of you seem to be doing it.
Can you recommend your photographer? How much did s/he cost?
I'll probably have to wait a few weeks since I still don't have an obvious baby belly. If we took pics now, I'd just look fat!

no... I thought about it for a second, and then decided they would go the route of my engagement/wedding pics - exciting when I first do them, but then sit in an album to barely ever be looked out. I've been taking belly shots of myself so I can remember what I looked like at different stages in my pregnancy.
The money I would spend on maternity pics can be better spent on other things.

I would save the money for baby necessities...

I scrapbook and one of my hobbies is photography too. So to me it was TOTALLY worth it!!!! I had a wonderful time and I have captured a moment in my life that I might never have again. (I conceived through IVF). If you wanna do it I would def. go for it. I paid $225 for my package including the session fee. My photographer is in PA, she might meet you in NJ somewhere but I don't think she would travel to NY.

lorimarie from this website is AMAZING, i didnt get a chance to do mine :( some other things came up but shes VERY inexpensive...almost TOO inexpensive for what she does..search her stuff on here..im using her for our newborn pics..

Lorimarie (Vendor on here) did family pics for a friend of mine and they came out AMAZING!
I am definitley thinking of it.

Nope, I have no desire to. However, if my mother and her husband lived here instead of Florida, I may have considered it since he is a professional photographer and would have done them for just the cost of a home cooked meal!

I told DH last night that I wanted to and he looked at me like I was crazy. He said "we just bought a Nikon D40, I'll take the pictures." Oh well.

Honestly, I wouldn't mind one really great pic of me prego, but I am personally not into the whole maternity shoot thing. I don't usually let people take pics of me-- so, I will probably end up with no pics!

This is exactly how DH feels. And also now with my DS. I take all his pics now. Esp since I invested in my own backdrops and props.

nah - DH takes pics of me once a week. Maybe towards the end we will take a few nice ones. Also, I am sure we will have so many pics in front of the xmas tree!

I just had mine done last week and I got the disk this past weekend. I had the photography studio who did my wedding pics. We haven't decided on a package of yet because its been crazy between doctor appts and my baby shower. We had a lot of fun doing it and the pictures came out beautiful. I have my favorites in my album.

I'm getting them taken on Saturday....I'll be 30 weeks (which I read is the best time to go....belly is nice and round but you're not so big that you're uncomfortable)
