Did you get professional newborn photography? How much did you pay?
DH thinks it's a waste of money to get professional pictures done, especially since he just bought a new camera and then an expensive lens on top of it.
I was just wondering how much other ppl paid for their professional photography. DH didn't want to take engagement pictures either and I persuaded him. I think I'm going to ask him for a photo shoot for a mother's day present. He can't say no to that one.

My wedding photographer came to our house, took over 400 pics and gave me a set of the photos and a disc of all of them for $400.....to me it was worth every penny!

Nope..I do my own picture taking with my Nikon. When DS is in a good mood, we do little photo shoots.
Tried to take DS to Kiddie Kandids..waste of time. I feel I got much better pics myself.

Yes, with SummerLyn.. it was well worth it, Summer did a awesome job. Initially DH thought the same as your husband, but after the photo shoot, he agreed that it was worth the money.
You should contact Summer for her pricing.

I didn't. I don't really like the look of the studios. I took pictures all the time and was really happy with a lot of them. I do wish that I had Summer do a newborn shoot. I will definitely have her do the next one.

Re: Did you get professional newborn photography? How much did you pay?
I took my six week old baby to the studio at BBB and got some great Christmas pictures and newborn pictures for a very good price. Once I saw how great the pics came out I splurged and bought a big package but you can get pictures taken for next to nothing. Plus the photographer was soooo patient and good with baby. I highly recommend them!

Re: Did you get professional newborn photography? How much did you pay?
I contacted Summerlyn Photography about her pricing while my best friend was pregnant .. thinking it would be WAY too expensive for me to get done for them. I was surprised at how affordable it was and got a session in their house as a gift.
You can take pics on your own - and they will be lovely - but these ladies just seem to have a way of seeing the right moment in a way that a lot of folks miss. Summer came with props and a lot of patience. Seeing the uniqueness of your child through someone elses eyes is a trippy experience. She waited, tucked, arranged, soothed and clicked away until she had a series of beautiful shots. AND THEN.. she took them home and made them better before 'unveiling' them.
My friend - who was skeptical about the whole idea at first - was over the moon with the pictures. I have a few in one of my albums and I'll be posting more from the full session soon.
Anyway - that's my long way of saying that it's completely worth it.
