Did you give your DC a flu shot at the same appointment as your vaccinations or go in for a separate appointment?

DS is getting his 6m shots. I don't know if I want to bombard him with so many shots at once.

We are going in this week for DD's flu shot. She had her well visit a week and a half ago and got her regular shots, but I held off on the flu shot so it could be given at a separate time.

Yes but it was DS's 9 month appt and he was only getting one shot so I was ok with him getting the flu shot at the same time.

However in your case I beleive they get 2 shots at the 6 month appt and I think one of them is a combo vaccine. In your case I would get the flu shot at a seperate appt.

DS was due for a vaccination when we went for his 18 month well checklast week, but my ped gave him the flu shot (said it took priority) and has me coming back this week for the other vaccination he was due for...

I normally only do 2-3 shots max (I prefer 2 at a time) I did give him the flu shot at his 12 month (we will be traveling on a plane and wanted him to have the flu shot) so he had two shots plus his flu (I did not give the mmr yet) for DS's 6 month I did bring him for his flu shot on a seperate appt.

DS got his flu shot at his 2 year well visit along with 1 other shot.

The first flu shot is given in 2 doses at separate visits. DS's first dose was with the rest of his 6 month shots. He spike a 104 fever but it went down quickly w/motrin. His second dose was a month later alone. No fever.

He had his 12 month appt and he only got the flu shot and the prevnar (pneumococcal) shot. That's all my ped gives at that appt. I have to go back in 1-2 months for the booster and the swine flu shot.

DS just got his flu shot along with his MMR (at 2 1/2)

My ped only gave DD her flu vaccines (months 6 and 7). Then she went back to her other shots. We go monthly though and he spreads out the shots so she only gets 1-2 at a time.

DD got it at her 9 mos check up and she wasn't due forany shots then so thankfully that was the only one she got

I make a separate appt if she is getting vaccines too.

I don't like to give her more than 2 shots at a time (which can be anywhere from 2-4 vaccines in total).

I just made separate appointments this morning actually. DD is going to finally get the MMR, so she'll get that in 2 weeks. If I wanted to do the flu shot then I could have (though they're out of them at the moment)...but I don't like to do it with any other vaccines anyway, so I wouldn't have done it then.

However, our practice doesn't allow additional vaccines for a month. So DD will get MMR in 2 weeks, then a month later we'll get the flu shot...for whatever reason it would be ok for her to get them on the same day, but if I don't do that (and I'm not), we have to wait 30 days to get another vaccine. I guess it's to judge reactions, but not too sure.
