About the same for us. We're just doing immediate family for DD's 1st birthday (same with christening) but its still like 35 people. It just gets too expensive to do it huge

well we arnt having a 1st bday for awhile but im planning on them being the same. We have a large family so its always a good size party. lol

The Christening cost me more because we catered everything whereas I cooked for my DD's first bday however, we had about the same amount of people and were at the same hall for both.
