yes definitely just used them recently....one office is based out of bayside (thats the one we used, being from queens and all) and the other is based out of huntington...good luck

Excellent. Amazing. Would NOT use anyone else.
FM me if you want the information. Realtors don't recommend them b/c they're too good. 
My DH is an engineer and thought they were beyond thorough. Tauscher Cronacher Engineers. They are located in RVC. I have their contact info if you'd like it.
We used Charles Butt as our engineer twice ad would recommend requesting him.

We loved ours - he insists that you attend the inspection with him. His name is Steve Barinella...let me know if you need his #
W were referred to him by 2 structural engineer friends

C & J Inspections
I have to say, I would not recommend this guy.
He wa svery nice, but missed some really KEY elements, and pointed out several trivial things.
Didn't even notice the squirrel infestation, or the fact that the house is sinking.

We loved the co. we used. Home Sweet Homes Inspections out of Ridge, NY. I used them, SweetTooth used them as well as MrsFlatBread - not sure of any others. They were very thorough, brought in an outside co. to do the termite search and bug issues. It cost us $435.
The issues they raised we placed in the contract and the owner of the house used the inspection co. for all the repairs on the home that was needed.

Mine was $470 and included the certified termite inspection you will need for your mortgage company.
The inspection took several hours (they were thorough and answered all our questions as we followed them around). Our report was long, thorough, and included color pictures. They sent a copy of the report to our attorney as well. They also provided us with an email copy in addition to the hard copy mailed to us.

We LOVED Our engineer. We used safeharbors, Jim Rupert. They have a website. He was EXTREMELY thorough & gave us a 30 page report complete w/ pictures b4 he even left the house--then he sat down w/ us & went over it. He was excellent & he's fully licensed (dont have his number handy).
