did you make a "Wish List" for Xmas?
My MIL was asking me for a list of holiday stuff for DS. Instead of writing things down I created a Wish List on Toys R Us. I picked things at different price points to give people options. Is that totally tacky? I feel like DS already has tons of stuff he's not interested in and I don't want people to continue buying him random things. And I DEFINITELY don't want people (aunts and uncles) buying him clothes, because their taste is simply not mine.

Re: did you make a "Wish List" for Xmas?
I did. I created ones at Target and WalMart. I am not going to send it out to anyone. If people ask me what he wants and I know they are going to buy him a gift regardless of me saying no, I will send them the list. Like this I know he will get something he needs and I want him to have instead of things that are not useful or clothes I won't like.

Re: did you make a "Wish List" for Xmas?
I always do this for DD on www.thethingsiwant.com I only send it to family members who specifically ask for ideas. They say that they really appreciate it. My family has always done that (asked for ideas) even when I was little. So I certainly don't think you doing so is tacky!

I did one on One Step Ahead and then added to my baby registry at BBB for "ideas". I just sent it to my mom, bro and ILs b/c they asked for ideas.

I made one on TRU but it's set to private...it was more for me to remember the things I want for him.

Re: did you make a "Wish List" for Xmas?
I made somewhat of a wish list. I wrote my own with stores that they can purchase the items with the least expensive prices.

Yes! Our whole family uses www.christmaswishlist.net and it is great because other people can mark off what they bought you so you don't get duplicates (I'm not familiar with the other sites mentioned so I don't know if they do that).

I don't think it's tacky as long as you aren't sending it to people without them asking.

I have one for me, DH and DS on wishlist.com.
That way when people ask, I have something to send them.

Re: did you make a "Wish List" for Xmas?
I made one in a word document with specific things and only sent it to my mother and MIL since they are the ones who field the calls of what to get the girls. AND it stops duplicates, which so far for every birthday and xmas since the girls have been born has been a problem.
