Did you switch to the "Step 2" Formula at 9 months?
I'm going to ask my ped about this... just wondering what you all did?

we switched at 9 months then at 12 months we went right to whole milk with no transiton and they did well.
but we were pretty much eating solids at 9 months so i wanted to make sure that the 3x that they had gotten formula that they were getting the proper amount of vitamins. thats why we switched when we did.

We did it and it worked out very well for us. We delayed putting him on whole milk until he was a little older then 12 months.

I only used the Step 2 formula a few times because I had coupons for it that I received in the mail. Otherwise, I used the regular formula and then recently switched DS to milk. I asked my pediatrician about it, who seemed to feel it was a gimmick.
There's not much of a price difference in the 2 formulas, so it certainly can't hurt to use the Step 2 now, but once your DC turns 1, I probably wouldn't continue with it and just switch DC to regular milk.

I switched to Next Step because of the great coupons - thats really the ONLY reason. They kept sending me coupons for $12 off! She was on whole milk by 12 months.

Nope. At around 10 1/2 months, we start introducing milk, and slowly take out the formula, so by the time Billy turns one, he will be on whole milk and fully adjusted. We did the same with Genevieve

DS has his 1 year well visit coming up. Im am pretty sure dr. will tell me to switch to milk. Right now, he's still on formula.
