I guess you could say we started trying as soon as I stopped my BC...

We suspected it would take awhile to get PG (though it's turning out to be longer than we anticipated) so I supposed we started "flying without a net" so to speak before we were totally ready to though we would not have minded in the least if we got PG. KWIM?

I was off over a year before trying.

I waited 1 month but that was because I cut poor Dh offf!!!

It takes some women 1-6 months to regulate. So keep that in mind.

I came off BCP in April but my first full month off was May. We started trying right away but not really tracking O or anything like that. It was more like winging it. I am now 6 months off BCP & my cycle has finally regulated itself. DH & I thought I would have been PG by now but we are taking the "good things come to those that wait" approach.

I came off my BCPs in August of 2006 and got pregnant the same month.

We thought it would take a few months to get preggo and would really "try" in October...

If you go off BCPs and don't use a back up method, then be prepared to get pregnant

We waited 3 full cycles before really trying.

In my opinion, I wouldn't wait to come off BCP if you are planning to TTC within the next 3-6 months (I would just use another method of BC). I just came off in Sept (wanting to TTC in Oct/Nov) not having any idea how long it would take to regulate, and I'm now wishing that I had done it sooner. My first cycle off was 48 days, but this past one was 31, so hopefully it won't take too many months to get back on track. Some people do get pregnant right after coming off, but I feel like the majority of people don't...so I would suggest letting your body get used to it's own natural cycles as soon as you can. I went off BCP in February. We weren't trying but I went off because my cycles were all messed up and I wanted to try to regulate myself. We tried in April and got pg the 1st month.

Went off bcp when I returned from our honeymoon...and we ttc 3 years later. I used the same method to prevent pregnancy as I later used to get pregnant (temping/charting).

We started right away. My Dr. told me there was no need to "clean my system out" like some poeple will tel you. She said the reason you take the pill daily is because that's how long it's in your system.

I stopped a few months before we wanted to ttc because I remembered my periods were irregular before going on BCP, so I wanted to see what my cycles were like. Good thing I did this. I went of BCP last Sept and AF stopped coming in Feb. So now its been over a year TTC.

This is my first AF off thepill. We will probably start trying around Feb/March.

waited one month....last BCP month was april, got af in May and June and found out I was pregnant July 16th

went off 3 months before we wanted to start trying... got pregnant on our second month trying- however, my cycles went wacko and SUPER long, and I was still not "regular" when we concieved... i wish i went off sooner...
